Community Center Campaign
A Permanent Home for Culture, Community, and the Next Generation
TECA-USA has proudly secured a permanent Community Center in Newton, Iowa — a long-awaited home for cultural gatherings, youth programs, family services, and community-wide events.
This milestone was made possible when Twic East community members came together to save and secure the down payment, allowing the Association to acquire the building and launch a $900,000 capital effort to complete the purchase, renovations, and outfitting needed to open and sustain the Center for generations to come.

Your contribution helps complete and prepare the Twic East Community Center for long-term use.

We are raising funds to complete the remaining purchase of the building, carry out renovations, equip the space for programs, and ensure the center is ready to open with a planned ribbon cutting in March 2026.

What the Center Is
The Community Center will serve as a central gathering place for cultural events, youth programs, family services, and community meetings. It creates a stable, shared space where traditions are preserved and relationships grow.
How It Became Possible
This project was made possible because the community members came together to fund the down payment and secure the acquisition of the building and land.
That collective effort laid the foundation for a center rooted in pride and shared responsibility.

Completing the Vision
Funds raised through this campaign will support the remaining purchase of the building, along with necessary renovations, furnishings, equipment, and long-term readiness.
Your support ensures the Community Center is not only opened—but fully secured and sustained for generations.
